Conditions of participation

The competition for lied duo with fortepiano organised in Schloss Weißenbrunn for the first time in 2026 will focus on the lieder composed by Fanny Hensel.

The jury will select up to eight duos from the applications received. These duos will then be invited to Schloss Weißenbrunn where in a final round, the award winners will be chosen in two public concerts on 25 April. Several original fortepianos from the Romantic period will be available for the competitors to choose from for their performances. The concerts will be recorded on film. A live stream is being planned.

First prize: 8,500 €
Second prize: 5,000 €
Third prize: 3,000 €
Audience prize: 1,000 €
